Joe is lying on a pillow on my desk and I have Torgen and Toby on my lap. I sit down for 2 minutes and cats arrive. I'm having to type with my arms outstretched as I cant pull my chair too close to the desk with the kitties on my lap. This is definitely an occupational hazard of working at home. Luckily they don't take offence if I have to remove them when I want to get up but Toby is now trying to distract me by staring at me while I type so that I will stroke him.
I'm going to have to give the kids and the kitties some boundaries. Any bets on all that working for too long.

Bets, hmmm, 100-1 perhaps, that it won't work for long!!!

LOL! I was just wondering about your kitties this morning when I commented on your earlier post :-)I know when I am at home I can't move without four dogs following me, good luck on the boudaries thing!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are back on-line. I was worried that you would not be able blog anymore. I wondered a lot about you since your last post in August. Hope you are well. Sounds like you are working from home? How's the boys?
ReplyDeleteI cannot work from home. I do not know if it is an ADD thing, but too many distractions without supervision... does not do anything for my productivity.
Crystal - You are too right. I am too accommodating with the cats and the kids to my detriment many times.
ReplyDeleteLulu - Thanks. I have dogs and cats following me around all the time and if I turn suddenly I trip over those just behind me.
Spear - Thanks, I'm still around. I am attempting to work from home but it is difficult and not just because of the distractions but because I dont have a phone yet. I am used to a quiet environment so it has been an adjustment.
